Coll de sa Batalla: This ascent starts in the village of Caimari and takes cyclists through an impressive mountainous landscape to the Coll de sa Batalla, with an average gradient of 6% and steeper sections near the summit.
Puig Major: This is the highest road in Mallorca, reaching an altitude of 855 meters. The climb from Sóller to Puig Major is one of the most challenging on the island, with an average gradient of 6.5% and some sections exceeding 10%.
Sa Calobra: This famous climb begins in the village of Escorca and takes cyclists through a series of tight and steep curves to the mountain pass of Sa Calobra, with an average gradient of 7%.
Coll d'Honor: Located in the Sierra de Tramuntana, this mountain pass offers stunning views and a challenging ascent with an average gradient of 6.5%.
Coll de Femenia: This ascent starts in the village of Pollença and takes cyclists through a mountainous landscape to the Coll de Femenia, with an average gradient of 5.5% and steeper sections near the summit.
Coll de Sóller: This ascent starts in the village of Sóller and takes cyclists through a winding mountain pass to the Coll de Sóller, with an average gradient of 6.2% and steep sections in the second half of the climb.
Coll des Grau: This ascent starts in the village of Puigpunyent and takes cyclists through a mountainous landscape to the Coll des Grau, with an average gradient of 6.8% and steep sections near the summit.

CYCLING IN MALLORCA : STAY HYDRATED = STAY STRONG!
Hey fellow cyclists! Let's talk about something crucial: staying hydrated while exploring the cycling paradise that is Mallorca.
It's essential for cyclists to stay well-hydrated before, during, and after rides to prevent dehydration and its associated effects. Maintaining proper fluid balance and electrolyte levels is crucial for optimal performance and overall health.
Imagine this: sun-kissed beaches, winding roads, and charming villages – Mallorca has it all. But with the beauty comes the higher temperatures, dehydration can quickly ruin your ride, so here's the deal: drink up!
Here are some of the most common symptoms to look out for:
1. Fatigue and Weakness: Dehydration can lead to feelings of fatigue and weakness, making it harder for cyclists to maintain their performance levels.
2. Dizziness and Lightheadedness: Dehydration can cause a drop in blood pressure, leading to feelings of dizziness or lightheadedness, especially when standing up quickly.
3. Headache: Dehydration can trigger headaches or exacerbate existing ones. This is due to decreased blood volume and oxygen flow to the brain.
4. Muscle Cramps: Dehydration can increase the risk of muscle cramps during exercise. Electrolyte imbalances resulting from dehydration can contribute to muscle cramping.
5. Decreased Performance: Cyclists may notice a decline in their performance, including reduced speed, power, and endurance, as dehydration impairs cardiovascular function and thermoregulation.
6. Increased Heart Rate: Dehydration can lead to an elevated heart rate as the body struggles to maintain adequate blood circulation and deliver oxygen to working muscles.
7. Impaired Cognitive Function: Dehydration can impair cognitive function, leading to decreased focus, concentration, and decision-making ability. This can be dangerous for cyclists, especially during long rides or in challenging conditions.
8. Heat Exhaustion or Heat Stroke: In severe cases of dehydration, cyclists may be at risk of heat-related illnesses such as heat exhaustion or heat stroke. Symptoms include extreme fatigue, confusion, nausea, rapid heartbeat, and even loss of consciousness. Heat stroke is a medical emergency and requires immediate treatment.
So Pack those water bottles, keep them filled, and don't forget electrolytes. Sure, stopping for sips might slow you down, but it's worth it to stay safe and strong on the road.

BUS TRANSFER COASTAL CLASSIC IN MALLORCA
Every Thursday of your cycling holidays we organise a transfer by bus for the sport group to Pto. Andratx. Here is the start of the coastal classic over 135 km with approx. 2.500 m difference in altitude.
This bike tour takes you along the coast via Banyalbufar, Valldemossa, Deià to Soller where the 12 km climb to Puig Mayor begins. Along the coastal road you will enjoy wonderful views of the sea. Once on the Puig Mayor, you cycle along the reservoirs, past the Lluc monastery back in the direction of Alcudia.
The coastal classic is recommended for cyclists who have already trained regularly in spring and have the necessary fitness.
The transfer costs are 20€ per person incl. bike.

These details are only informative. How far and how fast the groups ride depends on the respective circumstances. In order to maintain a balanced group, the group leader can assign over- or under-challenged riders to another group.
In case of bad weather conditions (wet roads, rain, strong wind), the tours with group leader can start later than indicated; or be cancelled completely. After all, the safety and health of all participants is Luxcom's top priority. Time trial bikes or triathlon handlebars; are not permitted in the guided groups for safety reasons.
The guided bike tours are free of charge for Luxcom guests and take place on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Participation in guided bike tours; is reserved for cyclists who have booked their hotel stay through Luxcom.
